Laurel Grocery Co. Continues Expansion into Eastern Ohio, Forms Ad Group

Laurel Grocery Company announced their continued expansion into Eastern Ohio with the agreement from several IGA retailers to form an ad group and be supplied by Laurel.

The retailers are Dave Kaltenbach, owner of IGA on Sentinel Square, LaGrange, Ohio, and Oberlin IGA, Oberlin, Ohio; Bob Lane, owner of Amherst IGA, Amherst, Ohio; Nancy Hawkins, owner of Fuhrman's IGA, West Salem, Ohio; Kevin and Don Schild, owners of Schilds IGA, Grafton, Ohio; and Terry DeGarmo owner of Frankfort IGA, Frankfort, Ohio.

When asked about why they chose Laurel as their primary supplier, Dave Kaltenbach stated, "After we confirmed through in-depth cost comparisons that Laurel was competitive with our current supplier, we felt Laurel was best for us because their programs are designed to help the independent retailer grow. Also, while some of the major wholesalers are cutting back on services and field support to help the independent retailer, Laurel has been expanding in these areas."

Jim Buchanan, president and chief operating officer at Laurel said, "We are extremely excited about working with these retailers to help them grow in their very competitive market and are very pleased that retailers of this caliber chose Laurel as their supplier."

Laurel Grocery Company has served independent retailers in Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Ohio, Indiana, and West Virginia since 1922.
