Laurus to Install New POS System in all 400 Super de Boer Supermarkets

S-HERTOGENBOSCH, The Netherlands -- Following a successful year-long pilot, Dutch food retailer Laurus plans to roll out a new point of sale system across its 400 Super de Boer supermarkets.

The retailer will install the StoreLine solution from Retalix USA, which includes hardware-independent point-of-sale software, back office and mobile functionality, and the ability to process data in real time across multiple sales channels and formats, according to the vendor.

"Retalix StoreLine is a proven solution with support for customer loyalty and promotions," said Peter Hanselman, IT director of Laurus. "StoreLine's immediate 'out of the box' match to our business requirements reduces time and cost of deployment, and provides the flexibility to grow with our business and change as our business needs change."

The rollout of the Retalix solution across all stores is scheduled to be completed during 2007.

Laurus operates 400 stores (company owned and franchised) and accounts for approximately 8 percent of the Dutch food retail market. Forty-five percent of the share capital in Laurus is owned by Casino.
