Roth's Markets to Use Price Optimization Software

SALEM, Ore. - Eleven-unit independent Roth's Markets here said it is looking to expand its pricing prowess with the advent of price optimization software.

The grocer said it has chosen to install price optimization software from Revionics', a Sacramento, Calif.-based provider of price optimization and other software-as-a-service solutions to independent retailers over the Internet.

Said Roth's Markets president Michael Roth in a statement: "We chose to partner with Revionics for price optimization because of their unique ability to provide an easy-to-use, easy-to-deploy solution. The service will enable Roth's to expand our pricing strategies and respond more quickly to the competition."

As part of the implementation, Revionics will provide integration to Roth's Retalix back-office systems. Employing the Retail Advanced Pricing System, retailers can manage information from multiple distributors, manage multiple stores' prices from a single screen, and manage temporary price reductions from several manufacturers.

Founded in 1962, Roth's Markets operates 11 stores in the Pacific Northwest.
