Senate Staffer Frisina Joins Ohio Grocers Association

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Katherine Frisina, a former legislative aide to Sen. John Carey (R-Ohio), has joined the Ohio Grocers Association as director of government relations and public affairs, where she'll be responsible for managing OGA's government and media relations.

A 2000 graduate of Bowling Green State University with a degree in political science, Frisina replaces Jason Wetzel, who has joined Wal-Mart as senior manager of public affairs for Indiana and Kentucky.

"The Ohio Grocers Association has been blessed with excellent talent in the area of government relations," said Tom Jackson, OGA president and c.e.o. "Katherine comes to us as a highly respected and professional Senate staff member that will bring additional perspectives to our membership. We welcome her and feel confident she will continue the high-quality representation and effective communication in her many areas of responsibility."

OGA, which has served the Ohio food industry for over 100 years, is a statewide trade association representing over 700 member companies, including retail grocers, wholesalers, manufacturers, and related suppliers to the food industry.
