Sprouts Farmers Market Deploys Space Planning Solution

Natural and organic foods retailer Sprouts Farmers Market has deployed a space optimization solution to create customized planograms, helping improve inventory management, drive sales and profits, and increase customer satisfaction.

The grocer is using the Apollo Space Optimization solution from Atlanta-based Aldata Solution. “Sprouts is dedicated to providing a personalized shopping experience for all our customers,” said the grocer’s president, Doug Sanders. “Aldata’s Apollo solution enables us to create customized displays that reflect each store’s unique neighborhood.”

Phoenix-based Sprouts, which operates 45 stores in Arizona, California, Colorado and Texas, uses Apollo Space Optimization to create planograms and collaborate with suppliers on store merchandising. The grocer said the system enables it to analyze shelf space in relation to sales, helping reduce inefficiency.

“Apollo also enables us to work closely with our suppliers, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the shelf-merchandising process,” added Sanders. “We believe there are special opportunities for suppliers to communicate their shelf-merchandising objectives and financial advantages. The use of fact-based decision tools, like Apollo, is a strategic advantage to those suppliers who work with us using the same language and analytical insights.”

Aldata’s Apollo is a collection of software solutions developed to give customers the ability to automate planogram production while enabling consistent, accurate execution of category plans and new product launches at any required granular level.
