SPS Commerce Adds 10 Grocery Retailers to Network

St. Paul, Minn. -- SPS Commerce, a provider of hosted supply chain integration services for the retail industry, today announced continued growth in the grocery sector with the addition of 10 grocery retailers to its network during the third quarter of 2003.

Demand from 500 new grocery suppliers SPS Commerce added to its network in the second quarter of 2003 has driven network expansion beyond the traditional set of retailers and industrial distributors. These grocery retailers include Kroger, Meijer, Costco, Roundy's, C&S Wholesale Grocers, HEB Grocery, Winn-Dixie, Associated Food Stores, Affiliated Foods, and Bruno's.

Grocery retailers and distributors have historically encountered difficulty in establishing electronic relationships with their suppliers due to the cost and technology barriers of traditional EDI solutions. SPS Commerce's online service, SPSCommerce.net, is designed to work effectively within the unique staffing, technology and budget constraints of small and midsize businesses. For as little as $39 per month, smaller companies can use SPSCommerce.net to outsource their entire electronic transaction operation, be it EDI or XML, for data translation with one or more of their large retail and/or grocery customers, saving time and money for both parties with improved order accuracy and efficient electronic invoice management.

"The tremendous market expansion witnessed over the last two quarters clearly indicates that the grocery sector is becoming fully aware of the benefits of SPS Commerce's supply chain integration offerings," said Archie Black, c.e.o. of SPS Commerce. "We look forward to continued growth in the sector, as our hosted model becomes the standard for SME transactions for both grocery retailers and vendors alike."
