SQFI Bows New Web Site

The Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI) recently launched a new Web site that organizes the content according to the needs of the diverse community of users, including food suppliers, retail buyers, auditors and certification bodies, and training centers and consultants.

Representatives of each group can find the information and services they require grouped together on separate Web pages. Also grouped by users is a list of more than 40 guidance documents, codes, applications and registration forms.

Retailers can perform highly targeted searches for SQF-certified suppliers, specifying, for example, the product category, company type (primary producer or manufacturer), level of certification (1, 2 or 3) and country.

A feature titled "How do I do it?" links Web site visitors to answers to common questions, such as:

--Find a certification body/training center/consultant/auditor/certified supplier?
--Register as a supplier?
--Find SQF retail supporters?
--Get help with the online SQF exam?

SQFI, a division of the FMI, offers a leading, global food safety and quality certification program and management system, designed to meet the needs of buyers and suppliers worldwide. The program provides independent certification that a supplier's food safety and quality management system complies with international and domestic food safety regulations. This enables suppliers to assure their customers that food has been produced, processed, prepared and handled according to the highest possible standards, at all levels of the supply chain.
