Tier I Grocer Taps Daymon, Aldata to Enhance Space Optimization

Daymon Worldwide, a private brand broker and consumer experience marketing consultancy, has deployed Atlanta-based Aldata’s Apollo Space Optimization solution as an integral part of its collaboration with a U.S. grocer with more than 2,400 supermarkets and multidepartment stores in 31 states.

Daymon is leveraging the Apollo software to enhance the grocer’s merchandising and inventory management, reduce waste, and increase customer satisfaction.

Stamford, Conn.-based Daymon is a private label broker that serves more than 6,000 manufacturers of food and all types of private brand products. The company employs Apollo to help effectively manage retailers’ portfolios and merchandise for private label brands. As part of its relationship with the grocer, Daymon manages thousands of SKUs for a diverse portfolio of private label products.

“Interest in private label brands continues to grow as cost-conscious consumers strive to maximize their shopping dollars,” said Dan Ratterman, senior business manager at Daymon. “Aldata provides us with a cost-effective, easy-to-use solution to ensure that retailers are offering consumers the private brand products they want. With Aldata, we are able to enhance inventory management, helping reduce excess inventory and waste while meeting consumers’ evolving demands and increasing overall customer satisfaction.”

Aldata’s Apollo Space Optimization is a collection of software solutions that give retailers the ability to automate planogram production while enabling consistent, accurate execution of category plans and new product launches at any required granular level.

“Retailers strive to provide consumers with a diverse selection of products in a challenging economy,” said Shaun Bossons, SVP at Aldata. “With our space optimization, retailers can ensure that they are providing the mix of items in a wide price range that suits a range of customer needs. Aldata also helps suppliers and manufacturers closely collaborate with retailers to help streamline inventory management and enhance merchandising.”
