Trax Nets 15 New Retailers for Loss Prevention Solutions
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Trax Retail Solutions, a loss prevention and store operations control solutions, added 15 new retailers to its list of customers, and expanded its relationship with seven additional retailers.

One of the new retailer customers -- Zagara's Marketplace, Cleveland Heights, Ohio -- is actually an existing Trax customer who reluctantly had to drop the loss prevention software because of integration issues with his last point of sale system. Following an implementatiuon iof NCR's new ACS-IR system, owner John Zagara is looking forward to have it back.
"The value is in its extremely concise reports," Zagara told Progressive Grocer. "Sure, it can help tell you; who the thieves are in your store, but even more importantly, it makes it easy to review your cashiers' performance as part of the process -- by checking voids, corrections, no-sales, and the like."
Zagara is currently going through a testing phrase, essentially "teaching" the system to read Zagara's T-log, and plans to have it fully functional by mid-November.

The regional independent added ShrinkTrax for DSD and SweepTrax aisle and safety inspection system to its existing ShrinkTrax system. "The DSD will help our loss prevention staff reduce shrink in the back," Roy Powell, Clemens dir. of IS told Progressive Grocer. "The SweepTrax will add verification to our maintenance of the stores -- it's a good control, and proof that the store is making an effort to keep things clean.
