Austin’s Greenling Organic Partners with Instacart

On the heels of its partnership with Chicago’s Sunset Foods, Instacart has yet again expanded its one-hour delivery service by teaming up with Austin-based Greenling Organics, a farm-to-table style delivery-only provider. The move allows consumers to now receive same-day delivery of Greenling’s fresh, locally grown organic fruits and vegetables as well as organic meat and dairy products, meal kits and prepared food. Previously, Greenling needed a day to deliver products.

Deliveries are available Sunday through Friday between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Currently, the service is limited to Austin but could expand to Greenling’s other market areas of San Antonio, Houston and Dallas/Fort Worth.

“Greenling offers the most authentic local and organic foods. By combining Greenling’s unmatched quality and hyperlocal approach with Instacart’s world-class convenience and same-day delivery, customers can get more connected to their local foods sources than ever before,” Greenling CEO Bill Tolany said.

Instacart launched service in Austin in May of this year and uses 300 local personal shoppers to fill orders.

“We’re continuously looking for new and interesting partners to ensure we’re always offering our customers the widest variety of grocery items available, and Greenling Organic is a great addition to our list,” Instacart Austin City Manager Zack Leonard said. “We’re looking forward to working with them and increasing our delivery zones in the near future.”

Instacart also delivers groceries from the city’s H-E-B’s Central Market, Costco and Royal Blue Grocery. The company also announced a partnership with Whole Foods last month for a national grocery pick-up and delivery service.
