Big Y to Enhance Mobile Platforms

Big Y plans to enhance its mobile platforms to provide a more personalized experience for its customers, including access to interactive ads, shopping lists, e-coupons and recipes.

The grocer is working with The Woodlands, Texas-based retail marketing, customer engagement and digital technology firm Go Think!, to develop iPhone, Android and Mobile Web Apps using the vendor’s RelationShop platform.

“We are very excited about our partnership with Go Think! and believe strongly that their digital shopper tools will further enhance our relationship with our customers and lead to an even deeper engagement with the Big Y brand,” said John Schnepp, director of advertising for Big Y.

In addition, Big Y will also implement GoThink! SoftProof, a web-based proofing, notification and approval system for weekly ads and other materials.

Springfield, Mass.-based Big Y operates 61 stores throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts with over 10,000 employees.
