Buehler’s Invites Customers to ‘Name the Brownie’

On the heels of adding Dorothy Lane Markets’ signature “Killer Brownies” to its in-store bakeries, Buehler’s Fresh Foods is inviting customers to create a uniquely “Buehler’s” name for the decadent treats via a contest that runs through Jan. 31.

For both Buehler’s and Dorothy Lane, the brownie collaboration underscores the Ohio-based family-owned grocers working together to offer their customers one of the finest treats on the globe.

Bob Buehler, EVP of marketing and merchandising for the 14-store, Wooster, Ohio-based Buehler’s, explains, “In a short time, the brownies have developed a strong following. Customers are telling us they love the new brownie so much that we decided to get their help in naming them.”

Buckeye Proud

Adds Norman Mayne, founder and CEO of Dayton, Ohio-based Dorothy Lane Markets: “As a family-owned business ourselves, we are thrilled to be able to work with Buehler’s on bringing the these brownies to Buehler’s stores.”

The winner of the contest will receive a brownie per week for a year in the form of an electronic voucher tied to their Buehler’s Advantage Card.

There are three ways for customers to enter Buehler’s “Name the Brownie” contest: Facebook, Twitter (use #buehlersbrownie), and in-store at the bakery counter.

Buehler’s Brownies can be purchased individually and are available in four varieties.
