Buehler’s Remodels Wooster Store, Adds Beer on Tap

Buehler’s Fresh Foods' Milltown store in Wooster, Ohio, unveiled the new Big Beer Experience as part of the store’s major remodel. Located in the beer department, the Big Beer Experience sells 800 different beers and features eight varieties of beer on tap, including selections from local brewers like JAFB-Wooster Brewery, Millersburg Brewery and The Brew Kettle Brewery. The selections also include limited-release varieties. Customers can purchase 32-ounce and 64-ounce Growlers to be filled while they wait and samples are available for 25 cents. The Wooster Big Beer Facebook page announces what varieties are on tap.

The remodel also includes a new wine department, displaying 1,000 different varieties of wine and sells 5-ounce glasses starting at $5. With the new wine and beer departments along with the adjacent State Liquor Agency store, the Wooster Buehler’s boasts one of the largest liquor selections in the state.

“The opportunity to sample any of the high-quality draft beers prior to purchasing a Growler is a real benefit to our customers,” said Jack Kerby, Buehler’s Wooster Milltown store manager on the company website. “And with the addition of the Wine Tasting Bar, customers have the chance to sit down and relax with a glass of wine.”

The store’s remodel also includes an expanded front entrance, a new community room and relocated KidzPark near the checkouts. Fresh foods departments are undergoing changes as well. The store’s bakery will now feature scratch production, the Chef’s Kitchen has added new selections of hot and cold foods, and the sit-down dining area, The Kitchen Table, also will undergo transformation.

The remodel is expected to be completed before the holidays and the company plans to open its 15th location this fall.
