Dash’s Market Adds Home Delivery

Dash's Markets, Buffalo, N.Y., is launching a new online shopping service called Dash’s Delivers on April 12. The retailer will deliver across the 89-square-mile Buffalo area as well as offer in-store pickup at its four locations.

“Dash’s Market has always been about serving our customers with outstanding foods and the highest level of personal service you can find anywhere,” said owner Joe Dash. “With Dash’s Delivers, customers can shop online in just minutes, making it easier than ever to access and enjoy Dash’s Market.”

Customers place their orders online, and then in-store employees will assemble the order for either pick up or delivery. Online shoppers will have access to all products carried in Dash stores, including fresh produce, baked products, fresh meat and the full array of craft beers. Preferences for individual items can be specified. Same-day orders are an option as long as they are placed four hours ahead of time. Prices may differ between online and in-store, but all sale items and advertised discounts are reflected online.

Customers also will be able to create shopping lists, place repeat orders with a single click and set reminders when a product runs low. The in-store pick up option requires a minimum order of $40 and has a $2.99 fee. For home delivery, the minimum order remains the same, but the delivery fee is $4.99. Customers can choose the day and time they would like the groceries delivered.

The online service is powered by Rosie, an online and mobile shopping application based in Ithaca, N.Y.
