Dash’s Market Joins Click-and-Collect Movement

Dash’s Market is the latest retailer to join the growing segment offering click-and-collect services, which allows customers to order groceries online and then select a time to pick them up at the store or have them delivered to their home. Dash's is the first retailer in Western New York to offer such a service, according to a report in Buffalo News.

Wegman’s, which also has stores in Western New York, currently is running a pilot program in Pittsford, about 80 miles away from the Buffalo-based Dash’s. Other national retailers like Walmart also are experimenting with similar services.

Dash’s Market is using Rosie App for the service, according to the news report, which can suggest products by zeroing in on the customer’s preferences based on demographics and shopping history. The app also makes suggestions based on what products are on sale and what items the customer may be running low on.

The click-and-collect service is expected to be available in all four Dash’s Market locations early next year.
