Kowalski’s Market Partners with Go Go Grocery for Delivery Service

Kowalski’s Market, a nine-unit retailer serving the Twin Cities, launched its delivery service Jan. 5 in partnership with Go Go Grocery. The supermarket now offers same-day and next-day delivery throughout the nine-county metro area, covering a 30-mile radius.

Customers order online and select from four different three-hour windows between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday through Friday (weekend delivery is between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.). They must place orders before midnight for next-day delivery; before 2 p.m. for same-day weekday delivery; or before 10 a.m. for weekend same-day delivery. Prices for delivery are the same as in-store, but customers pay a $9.95 next-day delivery fee or $14.95 for same-day, and all delivery orders must be at least $40.

Go Go Grocery has dedicated employees to serve Kowalski’s customers, and the retailer trained them on how to select the best products, according to Mike Oase, VP of operations for Kowalski’s Market. The service is available to anyone living within the more than 100 zip codes covered in the delivery area, but Oase predicts that most delivery customers will be from areas that currently do not have a brick-and-mortar Kowalski’s Market.

The service was launched through a social media campaign, but a larger marketing strategy will be deployed within the next few weeks after the company has an opportunity to finetune the delivery program.
