Mark Collier New Chairman for Minnesota Grocers

Mark Collier, Collier's Supermarkets in St. James, Minn., has been named chairman of the Minnesota Grocers Association. He succeeds Patrick Miner, Miner’s in Hermantown, Minn.

Collier is the third generation to own and operate the store, which employs 60 people and opened 54 years ago. He credits his father, who also was chairman of MGA, for his involvement in the association, and is committed to continuing the work of those before him in building a viable organization that advances industry priorities.

Collier’s dedication to the vitality of the retail food industry and community service will be the cornerstone of his two-year term as MGA chairman. He is a strong advocate of the association’s legislative agenda and will engage and support all industry partners in education consumers on the industry’s commitment to the communities they serve.
