NGA Show Moving to San Diego in 2019

The National Grocers Association (NGA) is moving its annual trade show and conference to San Diego in 2019. That show will be held Feb. 24-27, with the 2020 show to take place Feb. 23-26, also in San Diego.

“We are very enthusiastic about the future of The NGA Show as well as the independent supermarket industry,” said Peter Larkin, president/CEO of Arlington, Va.-based NGA. The move to San Diego reflects that sentiment as the show continues to grow and the association looks “forward to working with our show partners to deliver value to attendees and make this a memorable conference,” Larkin added.

The move was predicated on growing interest from suppliers and vendors, which demanded a larger expo floor, noted NGA COO Matt Ott, explaining that “expanding and diversifying exhibitors on the expo floor [would] provide attendees with multiple opportunities to view and research new products and services for their business.".

The 2017 NGA Show will be held in Las Vegas on Feb. 12-15 and feature more than 35 educational sessions and workshops, in addition to the trade show floor.
