Reasor's Raises $23K for Tulsa Komen Affiliate

Reasor’s presented a check for $23,334.41 to the Tulsa Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, following a company-wide fundraiser the grocer hosted during the month of October.

For the fifth year, all of Reasor's 17 Oklahoma store locations went Pink for the Cause for October Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

During the campaign, customers were invited to purchase a special reusable bag, 100 percent of the proceeds for which were donated to the campaign. Customers were also invited to pick up a donation card to contribute any amount at the register.

In addition to raising funds to help reduce breast cancer in Tulsa and surrounding counties, Reason’s campaign also helped raise awareness through advertisements and public service announcements with related information and facts.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2013, Tahlequah, Okla.-based Reasor’s is an employee-owned company that employs nearly 3,000 people in northeastern Oklahoma. In addition to its 17 stores, Reason’s also has two convenience stores.
