Saker Family Opens ShopRite in Howell, N.J.

The Saker family is in the final stages of preparing to open a new ShopRite in Howell, N.J., that will feature a specialty Cigar Shoppe, a full-service catering department, an in-store café and pharmacy.

Located at 4594 Route 9 South, the 80,000-square-foot ShopRite will also offer a number of free services, such as an in-store health and wellness associate to assist customers in choosing healthy foods for their families, as well as an onsite beauty advisor who will assist customers with skin care needs and cosmetic information.

Describing the new Monmouth County supermarket as a “state-of-the-art shopping destination,” Richard Saker, president of Saker ShopRites Inc., said, “The new ShopRite of Howell will represent the traditional low prices and outstanding services that ShopRite has always been famous for, in a brand new” spacious setting.

Such services include the expected offerings like a fresh bakery, meat cut to order, a hot buffet bar of freshly prepared entrees and delicacies, and a cold buffet bar. The new store also introduces ShopRite From Home to the community, which enables customers to place online orders for pick-up later. Customers will also be able to attend the Culinary Workshop, where for a small fee they can learn how to prepare a meal during two-hour classes taught by area chefs.

The new store is scheduled to open April 20.

Saker ShopRites Inc. operates 29 stores in New Jersey.
