Jet.com to Stop Carrying Costco Products

Jet.com, the ecommerce business acquired last year by Wal-Mart Stores Inc. for $3.3 billion, will stop offering products under the Kirkland Signature brand, which is owned by Issaquah, Wash.-based Costco, according to a published report.

A company spokeswoman informed Bloomberg, however, that some Kirkland products fulfilled by third-party sellers would still be available on the website.

The decision to discontinue most Kirkland products comes as Walmart’s Sam’s Club division works to lift sales by overhauling its own Member’s Mark brand, consolidating 21 private label lines under that name, adding 300 new products and upgrading twice that number.

Jet.com currently offers hundreds of Member’s Mark products.
