Delhaize to Sell Bosnian & Herzegovinian Stores

Belgian international food retailer Delhaize Group has signed an agreement with Tropic Group B.V. to sell all 39 of Delhaize’s Bosnian and Herzegovinian stores.

Tropic Group, based in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, was founded by Bojan Risović, an established retailer with a long history of successfully running retail enterprises.

The deal is expected to complete in the third quarter, subject to regulatory approval and working capital adjustments.

Brussels-based Delhaize is present in nine countries on three continents. At the end of 2013, its sales network comprised 3,534 stores.
