Kroger Appoints Alex Tosolini SVP of New Business Development

The Kroger Co. has appointed Alex Tosolini to the newly created position of SVP of new business development, effective Nov. 3.

Tosolini will work to identify, evaluate and develop new opportunities that contribute to the company's growth and financial performance.

Bringing 24 years of experience to the role, Tosolini comes to Kroger from Procter & Gamble, where he served as SVP of Global eBusiness and VP of Global eCommerce.

"Alex's unique skills and insights, ranging from strategic planning to brand management to general management, will enhance our efforts to accelerate Kroger's growth," said Kroger CEO Rodney McMullen.

Cincinnati-based Kroger operates 2,638 supermarkets and multi-department stores in 34 states and the District of Columbia under two dozen local banner names including Kroger, City Market, Dillons, Food 4 Less, Fred Meyer, Fry's, Harris Teeter, Jay C, King Soopers, QFC, Ralphs and Smith's.
