Security Expert to Close Out 2011 NGA Convention

Dr. Lionel C. M. Von Frederick Rawlins, an expert on homeland security and terrorism issues, will present “Leadership, Business and Terrorism: Understanding Your Risks and Vulnerabilities,” the closing session at the 2011 National Grocers Association Annual Convention and Supermarket Synergy Showcase.

In this session, Rawlins will discuss risk-management plans and help attendees decide if their plans are adequate to address the risks and implications of terrorism. Attendees will also gain a knowledge of what the federal government is doing, what retailers are obligated to do and the legal and civil implications of not having an effective plan in place.

Rawlins has working experience in Europe, Africa, Asia, Central and South America, the Middle East and the Far East, in the capacity of a counterterrorist and criminologist.
