Albertsons-Safeway Names Brad Street Intermountain Div. President

Brad Street, Jewel-Osco VP of operations, has been named to lead Albertsons-Safeway's Intermountain Division as president, for which he'll lead 85 stores in eight states.

Street succeeds Susan Morris, who was appointed president of the company's Denver Division on March 10.

“I am very excited that Brad is returning to Boise to lead our successful Intermountain team,” said Kelly Griffith, EVP and COO of the company's North Region. “He is an experienced leader with a thorough understanding of our customers’ needs in the region.”

Having joined Albertsons in Salt Lake City in 1983, Street rose through the ranks to become store director, and subsequently district manager of Albertsons' Houston and Northern California Divisions.

Following the Albertsons-Safeway merger, street served as director of operations in Eugene, Oregon, until being promoted to VP of operations for the 188-store Intermountain West Division in Boise. He was serving as the lead district manager for the Intermountain Division before taking the operations role with Jewel-Osco in 2014.

Cerberus-owned Albertsons-Safeway operates more than 2,200 stores in 34 states and the District of Columbia under 18 banners, including Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Jewel-Osco, Shaw’s, ACME Markets, Tom Thumb, Randalls, United, Pavilions, Star Markets, Market Street, Amigo and Carrs.
