In his new role, Wilson will oversee workforce management operations, including labor budgeting, for all Big Y stores. He will report to VP of Store Operations Richard Bossie.

An industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience who recently celebrated 25 of them with Big Y, Wilson began his career in 1985 with Big D Supermarkets, in Worcester, Mass., holding a range of roles, including bagger and courtesy-booth attendant. In 1991, he joined Big Y as a full-time head cashier at its Holden, Mass., store. Wilson took on several positions with Big Y in various locations over the next few years, including night manager of the Worcester, Mass., store from 1993 to 1994. After completing Big Y’s store manager training program, he became manager of the Worcester location. By 2000, he had begun working at the chain’s corporate headquarters in the finance department as business process manager, and later as treasury and budget manager. From 2005 to 2017, he returned to the stores as the director of four different locations in Massachusetts, most recently in Franklin, Mass.
