Bill Jordan to Helm Whole Foods Rocky Mountain Region

Whole Foods Market has named Bill Jordan president of the grocer's Rocky Mountain region, effective immediately. In his new role, Jordan will oversee stores in Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico and Utah, as well as a forthcoming store in El Paso, Texas.

Prior to his appointment, Jordan served as regional VP of Whole Foods' Southern Pacific region for 16 years.

“Bill has been an incredible asset to Whole Foods Market for many years, and we’re so glad that he is now leading our Rocky Mountain region,” said David Lannon, EVP of operations at Whole Foods. “He’s the embodiment of everything a Whole Foods Market Team Member should be, and we know he’ll do a great job growing our business in the region.”

"My role and commitment—day in and day out—is focused on empowering our teams and stores to innovate, create, and serve our customers and supplier partners with passion and excellence," Jordan said, noting the Rocky Mountain region's leadership in Local Produce Loans given to small producers, as well as supporting Whole Plant Foundation and Whole Kids Foundation.

Austin, Texas-based Whole Foods Market currently operates 399 stores in the U.S. and Canada.
