BJ’s Launches Online Deli, Bakery Ordering

BJ’s Wholesale Club has rolled out online ordering for deli and bakery orders on www.bjs.com/partyplanning, with the aim of making holiday entertaining easy and affordable. Members can place orders online for in-club pickup in as little as 36 hours, choosing from a broad assortment of party platters and custom cakes.

“BJ’s Perfect Party Planning Center offers unbeatable value and convenience to our members, helping to make every occasion extra special and stress-free,” said Lee Delaney, EVP, merchandising and logistics at Westborough, Mass.-based BJ’s. “With our online ordering, BJ’s lets members spend less time in the kitchen and more time with friends and family, without sacrificing freshness or flavor.”

Deli platters available online include Wellsley Farms (the retailer’s private brand) and Dietz & Watson entertainment platters and sandwich rings, 3-foot subs, a Wellsley Farms mini croissant sandwich platter, and an Italian meat-and-cheese platter. Among the baked goods that can be ordered through the website are Wellsley Farms sheet cakes, two-tier cakes and cupcakes.

Customers not currently enrolled as members can sign up for a free 90-day trial at the membership desk through Dec. 31.

In other BJ’s news, the company is now offering members a wide range of customizable products, including photo prints, photo quilts, holiday cards, calendars, ornaments, mugs, canvas prints, tech accessories, through photo.bjs.com, and through Jan. 1. 2017, members receive 5 cents off per gallon when they fill their tanks at BJ’s Gas locations after shopping at the clubs.
