Bristol Farms’ Lazy Acres to Open Second CA Store

Bristol Farms-owned and operated natural and organic foods store, Lazy Acres, plans to open its second store in Long Beach, Calif., in early November, joining its original Santa Barbara Lazy Acres store, which opened in 1991.

“Lazy Acres is committed to being the natural choice for wholesome, organic foods that nourish body and soul,” said Adam Caldecott, SVP of marketing. “Lazy Acres’ focus on service and variety of healthy living products has been central to its success. The wholesome community market will remind you of how it used to be, bringing back the good feeling of slower times, genuine service, and real food.”

Lazy Acres’ Long Beach store will feature a design and décor package that celebrates and highlights the Long Beach community in a natural, organic and handcrafted manner that is unique to any grocery store. Its products will be made with strict and specific ingredient standards, and the store will create partnerships with companies that support sustainable communities.

“Lazy Acres staff is committed to caring about the community we live in, the products we provide, and holistic living,” added Caldecott. “Lazy Acres Santa Barbara’s expertise has allowed us to build trust within our consumers and develop a reputation as a resource of education on a healthy lifestyle. The goal is simple, to have fun while creating a place where real food, healthy living, and a great staff combine to make shoppers feel special. We make every effort to deliver value through our products and service -- ultimately we are proud to serve and know that once one experiences what we provide, they too will know that good feeling.”

The new store’s departments include a scratch bakery, full service vitamins, dairy, produce, deli, bulk foods, espresso bar, juice bar, meat, seafood, sushi, catering, wine, cheese, cookware, gifts, floral, and grocery.
