Brookshire’s Bows Baby Club

Brookshire Grocery Co. has launched of a special club designed specifically for shoppers with small children.

Brookshire’s Baby Club, which kicked off Feb. 20 in all 119 of the company's supermarkets in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas, was designed to help customers with small children save money on baby care items. Anyone with a child under the age of three is eligible for membership, which includes a welcome gift, a birthday gift, monthly e-newsletters with tips and money saving offers, and other exclusive savings year-round.

“Brookshire’s is committed to serving families in the areas where we operate, and we look forward to providing more benefits to parents with small children,” said Rebecca Sanders, director of public relations for the Tyler, Texas-based regional retailer.

Club members can earn 100 bonus yourpoints on every $50 purchase of qualifying baby purchases. There is no limit on the number of times a club member can redeem this offer, but the $50 spent must be in a single transaction.

To celebrate the commencement of Brookshire’s Baby Club, the company has launched a photo contest to find its future spokes-baby. The deadline to submit photo entries is April 16, and consumers are encouraged to register and vote, which will qualify them to earn entries into a sweepstakes drawing for 5,000 yourpoints.

Voting ends May 3, and the photo receiving the most votes will win the grand prize, which includes a $10,000 savings bond and spokes-baby status. Nineteen runners-up will receive 5,000 yourpoints. Any child under the age of three can be entered into the photo contest by visiting www.brookshires.com and registering and uploading a photo.

Brookshire Grocery Co. operates 153 stores in three states -- Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas -- with three distribution centers and seven manufacturing facilities. Known for friendly service, clean stores and strong community support, BGC has been in operation since 1928.
