Brookshire’s Ups 4

Brookshire Grocery Co.’s board of directors promoted four leaders to officer roles: Kyle McCoy is now EVP, CFO; Holly Shotts is now VP, controller; and Cindy Murphy and Curtis Wiggins are now VP, information technology.

McCoy, who most recently served as SVP, treasurer, joined Brookshire’s in 1998 as an accountant. He has served as manager and director of corporate taxation and as VP, treasurer. He earned both a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Master of Professional Accounting degree from the University of Texas at Austin in December 1997, and became a certified public accountant (CPA) in 1998. He is a member of the Texas Society of CPAs and the Association of Financial Professionals.

Shotts also began her Brookshire’s career as an accountant, joining in 1992. She served in various accounting roles and became director of financial accounting in 2003. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting degree from Southern Arkansas University and is also a CPA. She is among the recipients of Progressive Grocer’s 2012 Top Women in Grocery awards.

Murphy is a 35-year partner who began her career as a cashier and worked her way up in various accounting and IT roles. She became director of corporate systems in 2011, and also has been recognized among Progressive Grocer’s Top Women in Grocery.

Wiggins joined the company in 1988 and most recently served as director of retail business systems management, a role he has been in since 1988. He previously served as a programmer analyst and worked in development of operating systems, databases, applications and networks. He received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree from the University of Texas at Tyler, and also has served on the Food Marketing Institute’s Electronic Payments Committee.

Tyler, Texas-based Brookshire Grocery Co. operates 177 stores in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas, with three distribution centers and five manufacturing facilities.
