Brookshire's Brand Products Take Top Honors at World Dairy Expo

Brookshire Grocery Co. (BGC) received top honors for four of its manufactured products in the 2014 World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Product Contest, sponsored by the Wisconsin Dairy Product Association.

The Tyler, Texas-based grocer's Goldenbrook Honey Almond Granola flavor took first place in the frozen yogurt category; the brand's Southwestern dip and ranch dip won second place in their respective categories; and the company’s Food Club brand low-fat blueberry yogurt took third.

“We have a great team of employees in our manufacturing division who are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards for safety and quality,” said BGC President and CEO Rick Rayford. “The Championship Dairy Product Contest gives us a chance to compete among the best dairy manufacturers in the U.S. and receiving these awards once again proves our ability to continually produce premium products.”

The Championship Dairy Product Contest began in 2003 and is the third-largest dairy contest in the nation. The contest takes place at the World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wis.

Brookshire Grocery Co. operates 152 stores in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas.
