Countdown on for Ahold's Boston Small Format 'bfresh' Debut

Ahold USA is preparing to take the wraps of its small-format fresh food store in Boston – bfresh – which pledges less “ors” while shopping for produce and more “ands” with convenience, value and organics.

While an official grand opening date has yet to be revealed, the company has launched an aggressive teaser campaign via social media – including facebook.com/bfreshmarket and @bfreshmarket on Twitter and Instagram – indicating that it won't be much longer before the "new grocery experience [will] freshify your life! bfresh is all about fresh foods, smart value, right in your hood. No tradeoffs. And we have awesome teammates who make it all work."

Located at 214 Harvard Ave. in Allston – a neighborhood best known for its student population due to its proximity to many colleges and universities – “Fresh Formats LLC is developing a new grocery shopping experience that will be introduced later this year,” Suzi Robinson, spokesperson for Fresh Formats, told The Boston Herald.
