Dove 'Likes' New Facebook App, Launches Sweepstakes

In support of its clinical protection deodorant line, Dove has launched the Beauty + Strength Facebook app in conjunction with its summer sweepstakes weekend giveaway. The sweepstakes prize package includes round-trip airfare to Canyon Ranch Hotel & Spa in Miami Beach, Fla., and a three-day/two-night resort stay, as well as dinner, spa treatments and yoga.

Dove’s global personal care brand encourages women to visit its official Facebook page and select one of 10 images that evoke personal feelings of beauty and strength. By first “liking” Dove’s Facebook page, and then downloading the Dove Beauty + Strength Mosaic app on the “Dove Deodorant” tab, the brand will combine the selected image with a mosaic of each woman’s community of Facebook friends to be used as her cover photo or profile picture. Each woman's mosaic image is designed to represent what makes her strong and beautiful, and to inspire those qualities in others.

To enter the sweepstakes for a chance to win the spa weekend, fans can visit Dove’s Facebook page and enter their registration information. Dove, a brand of Englewood Cliffs, N.J.-based Unilever, will accept entries through Aug. 31.  Creating a mosaic is not a requirement to enter the sweepstakes.  The grand-prize winner will be chosen at random on Sept. 4.
