Gordy’s Joins Grocery Shopping Network

Gordy’s Inc., the longest locally owned and operated store in the Chippewa Valley area of Wisconsin, has joined the Grocery Shopping Network to expand its online presence.

“It’s great to add an independent progressive grocer who continues to stay ahead of the curve in development and expansion,” said Andy Robinson, Grocery Shopping Network CEO. “We are pleased to relaunch Gordy’s website and can’t wait to see how local Chippewa Valley shoppers utilize the new platform.”

Grocery Shopping Network and Gordy’s have launched a new Gordy’s County Market website for grocery shoppers to plan trips to the store. The network offers its partners the ability to merchandise the entire store outside of the weekly flyer. This means consumers could potentially shop every item in the store and find out if it’s on sale this week. The company also offers a database of more than 60,000 recipes with dietary information, recipe videos, coupons including manufacturer, wine pairings, e-mail campaigns and shopping lists.

Gordy’s deals will also be available on the company’s iPhone app called Ucook, which shows shoppers deals and recipes from the local website. It will also give Gordy’s clientele access to all the new upgrades from Grocery Shopping Network including new mobile improvements.

Established in 1966 by the Schafer family, Gordy’s County Market operates six locations in Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, Cornell and Ladysmith, Wis.

Grocery Shopping Network connects consumers, retailers and brands through its content, advertising and software for supermarket websites.
