Hobart Launches Grocery Resource Center

Commercial food equipment and service provider Hobart has launcheed its Grocery Resource Center (www.hobartcorp.com), which was developed in conjunction with Traulsen and Baxter and is designed to serve as an online destination for grocery merchandisers, department managers, and operators to learn about the latest industry trends.

“Our extensive experience with grocery stores and our ongoing customer research provide us with insight into the key concerns and interests of grocers,” said Jason Prondzinski, VP of national accounts at Hobart’s parent company, Troy, Ohio-based ITW Food Equipment Group. “The development of an online resource to share this industry knowledge and support of our grocery customers was a natural next step.”

The site contains information on relevant topics including bakery, deli, meat, seafood, and produce department trends, food safety, productivity, merchandising, shrink reduction, and sustainability. Articles and case studies outline best practices, provide useful tips and identify emerging segment trends.

The site also features a unique interactive grocery section from which users can view store departments such as bakery, deli, and meat and find information on suggested equipment from mixers, slicers, and scales to refrigeration and warewashers.
