Kings Food Markets Promotes Rich Durante, Jessica Gasser

Judy Spires, chairman and CEO of Parsippany, N.J.-based Kings Food Markets, has revealed the following company promotions.

• Rich Durante is now president/COO. Beginning his career with Kings in 1988 as a store manager, Durante rose through the ranks to lead the merchandising, operations, marketing and engineering teams in the strategic positioning of the company for growth and innovation.
• Jessica Gasser is now SVP of talent and technology. Gasser joined Kings in 1998 as an assistant HR manager and has steadily progressed through the grocer’s various HR positions. Most recently, she had additionally taken on supervision of the information technology group.

Celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2016, Kings operates 25 stores in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut.
