Kroger Atlanta PR Director Recognized for Cancer Awareness

Glynn Jenkins, director of communications and public relations for The Kroger Co.’s Atlanta Division, received the Promise Award at the Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta Bubbles & Bling benefit on Jan. 30, in recognition of his many years of service and volunteerism to Komen Atlanta.

“I am proud to support the mission of Komen Atlanta and its work within Metro Atlanta’s communities to enable people to detect and survive breast cancer,” Jenkins said. “With Komen Atlanta, I know I am making a difference in the fight against breast cancer.”

Jenkins has worked with Komen Atlanta for nearly 10 years through his involvement with Kroger and as a volunteer, board member and supporter. Kroger is a sponsor for Race for Cure and, through a Breast Cancer Awareness campaign in October, raised nearly $627,000 across the Atlanta Division in 2015.

Kroger’s Atlanta Division, part of the Cincinnati-based Kroger Co., is one of the Southeast’s largest retail grocery chains. It includes 186 stores in Georgia, Eastern Alabama and South Carolina.
