Lowes, LoyaltyOne Pair for Free Knives Promo

Lowes Foods has activated a promotional campaign for free kitchenware at 75 stores in partnership with loyalty program provider LoyaltyOne, a subsidiary of Plano, Texas-based Alliance Data Systems Inc.

Through BrandLoyalty, a European-based LoyaltyOne division that provides data-driven marketing and loyalty solutions, the program offers traditional and virtual stamps at checkout good toward Villeroy & Boch's Vivo brand kitchen knives, knife blocks and cutting boards through Feb. 26, 2017. Customers receive one stamp per every $10 spent at the stores, located across North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.

The agreement with Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Lowes Foods builds on BrandLoyalty’s foothold in Canada, where it operates programs in partnership with grocery chains Sobeys, Metro and IGA, as well as its successful pilot with a U.S. regional grocer earlier this year.

Focusing on shorter-term promotional loyalty programs (12- to 20-week periods), BrandLoyalty generates real-time customer engagement in both traditional and digital channels. By analyzing market spending trends, tailored offers are created for clients by identifying local consumer patterns against the retailer’s data to identify specific target segments within the customer base. This approach enables BrandLoyalty to customize promotional programs to engage key client customer segments and drive marketing return on investment.

A subsidiary of Hickory, N.C.-based Alex Lee Inc., Lowes Foods operates nearly 100 stores in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, and employs approximately 9,000 people.
