Lunchables, Actress Help Fuel Kids' Fun

In an effort to promote active lifestyles among children, Lunchables Lunch Combinations, a brand of Northfield, Ill.-based Kraft Foods Inc., has partnered with actress and celebrity mom, Tori Spelling, to launch the national “Never Be Bored Again” campaign to donate up to $100,000 to Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The campaign also includes an instant win game for a chance to win prizes.

Spelling and the Lunchables team encourage families to capture photos of boredom-busting activities and share them by visiting the Never Be Bored Again application on the Lunchables Facebook page. Photos uploaded through Oct. 15 will generate a $1 donation to Boys & Girls Clubs nationwide, up to $100,000. After posting their photo, consumers will receive a $1-off coupon for new Lunchables with Smoothie, while supplies last.

“Encouraging my kids to make their own fun is one of the best parts of being a parent,” said Spelling, a mother of four. “That’s why I’m thrilled to work with the Lunchables team to spark kids’ curiosity and help amp up the fun.”

To kick off the effort, Spelling uploaded her own Never Be Bored Again photo, showing her crafting with daughter Stella. Today, she joins the Lunchables team and kids from the Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and Greater East Valley, Calif., to build a Sport Court in the club’s backyard. Working alongside Boys & Girls Club kids, she will install new basketball hoops and foursquare grids, plus other equipment made from recycled Lunchables packaging.

Additionally, now through February 2013, kids ages six to 13 can enter the Never Be Bored Again instant win game on the brand’s website for a chance to win one of over one million prizes. The three grand prizes include a Tree House of Your Dreams, a Sport Court backyard court or an Ultimate Game Room. Other prizes include 25,000 Hasbro toys and games and one million video downloads.
