Marsh Unveils 30-store Remodeling Project

Marsh Supermarkets has unveiled plans to remodel 30 of its stores in the coming year.

The Indianapolis-based grocer's Kingston Drive store in Bloomington, Ind., as well as its Salisbury Street location in West Lafayette have already undergone remodeling, and its Kinser Pike location, also in Bloomington, along with the Teal Road store in Lafayette will begin construction immediately.

Additionally, the grocer will close another one of its stores in Bloomington, at 3600 West Third Street, due to underperformance, according to Marsh.

Its two other stores in that area – at 1825 Kinser Pike and 123 South Kingston Drive – will remain open and offer employment to associates affected by the store closing.

"We want to sincerely thank our loyal customers who we have had the privilege of serving in our West Third Street location and invite them to join us at our two other Bloomington stores," Marsh said of the closing, in a statement.

Marsh operates 73 stores in Indiana and Ohio, with 38 Indiana pharmacy locations.
