NCA Hires VP of Gov’t Affairs

Liz Reilly has joined the National Confectioners Association (NCA) as the Washington-based trade organization’s VP of government affairs. In her new role on NCA's public policy and advocacy team, Reilly (left) will coordinate state and federal legislative initiatives, and advocate for the confectionery industry with key legislative and government staff and other advocacy groups on both the national and local political levels.

Reilly’s most recent position before joining the association was executive director of special initiatives for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where she managed a grant program that educated the business community on the U.S. public education system. In that role, and in her previous position as director of the chamber's TradeRoots program, Reilly directed multilevel pro-business coalitions to advocate on the federal and state level, and developed and implemented outreach strategy, including testifying before federal and state legislatures, lobbying, grass-roots outreach and member education.

Earlier in her career, Reilly headed international and federal programs for the National Paint and Coatings Association, in which capacity she managed lobbying efforts, grass-roots activities and public outreach programs.

“Liz brings an impressive set of skills and knowledge to NCA's public policy team," said the organization’s president, Larry Graham. “Her experience in advocacy and outreach on all levels of politics, and her familiarity with trade organizations and Capitol Hill make Liz a valuable asset to the NCA and its members.”
