Ralphs, Shell Team Up for Fuel Savings Program

Ralphs Grocery Co., a division of the Cincinnati-based Kroger Co., has joined forces with oil giant Shell to offer customers in the greater Los Angeles area, including Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties, a chance to earn fuel savings at the pump, beginning Nov. 1.

Noted Dan Little, North America fuels marketing manager for Houston-based Shell Oil Products U.S., “With Ralphs stores throughout the greater Los Angeles area and conveniently located participating Shell stations nearby, it's never been easier for customers to save on high-quality Shell Nitrogen Enriched Gasolines.”

Every time a customer uses a Ralphs rewards card when making a purchase at an area store she will receive Fuel Points that can be used at the pump at participating Shell stations. Ralphs rewards card holders have the chance to redeem 100 points per visit to save 10 cents per gallon instantly, valid up to 35 gallons of fuel per purchase.

One dollar spent on most Ralph’s items equals one Fuel Point; 50 Fuel Points can be earned for each filled eligible prescription; and two Fuel Points can be earned for every dollar spent on third-party gift cards from the in-store Gift Card Malls. All Fuel Points will be automatically added to the customers Ralph’s rewardscard account and total points can be viewed on customer receipts after every purchase or online at their “My Ralphs” page at www.ralphs.com.

To redeem Fuel Points at participating Shell stations, customers use a Ralphs rewards card at the pump by manually entering a card number or alternate ID, which then initiates the fuel savings. Fuel Points must be used during the month they are earned or by the end of the following calendar month.
