Russ’ Market to Host Third Annual Lincoln Wine & Food Experience

Regional independent Russ’s Market will hold its third annual Lincoln Wine & Food Experience Friday, Feb. 25, from 4 to 8 p.m.

The fundraiser, to be held in a ballroom at the Embassy Suites in Lincoln, Neb., features a general admission area consisting of approximately 80 booths offering samples of food or wine selected by experts from Russ’s Market. Reserve Room guests will be able to sample exclusive selection of reserve wines and a buffet prepared by Russ’s Market Catering, plus full access to the general admission area.

“The Lincoln Community Playhouse is a showcase for our outstanding hometown talent,” said Pat Raybould, president of B&R Stores, Inc. “We’re gratified that the people of Lincoln have helped Russ’s Market raise more than $50,000 for the Community Playhouse over the last two years, and once again [we’re supporting] the great entertainment and educational programs at the playhouse.”

The Lincoln Community Playhouse is also hosting a silent auction in conjunction with the Wine & Food Experience, and all proceeds from the event and auction will support the Community Playhouse. General admission tickets are $30, while a limited number of tickets for the Reserve Room are available for $60 and include access to the general admission area as well. Tickets are on sale at Russ’s Market Lincoln locations and at the playhouse box office.

A new event this year is the Winemaker’s Dinner scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 24th at the Lincoln Community Playhouse. The four-course dinner will feature award-winning winemaker Blake Bomben of Gnarly Head Wines. Bomben will share his winemaking expertise as guests sample a variety of wines from Gnarly Head with each course. Tickets for this exclusive dinner are $50.
