Russ’s Market Brings Fine Food, Wine to Theater Buffs

Lincoln, Neb.-based Russ’s Market is continuing its support of the local arts with the fourth annual Lincoln Wine and Food Experience, a fund-raising event scheduled for Feb. 24 to benefit the Lincoln Community Playhouse.

“The Lincoln Wine and Food Experience has grown each year thanks to great support by the people of Lincoln,” said Pat Raybould, president of B&R Stores Inc. “We’re glad that Russ’s Market can organize this event to support the excellent entertainment and educational programs at the playhouse.”

The event will feature an expanded display area and wider aisles, providing guests with more room to sample an impressive selection of wines and food. More than 80 booths will fill the main ballroom. In addition, Reserve Room guests will enjoy an exclusive selection of reserve wines and a buffet prepared by Russ’s Market Catering to You.

The Lincoln Wine and Food Experience has raised nearly $100,000 over the last three years, becoming a major fundraiser for the Lincoln Community Playhouse; this year’s goal is $50,000. Tickets – $40 for the main ballroom and $60 for the Reserve Room – are on sale at Russ’s Market locations in Lincoln and the playhouse box office.

Additionally, Russ’s Market is catering a four-course Winemaker’s Dinner to benefit the playhouse, the evening before the food and wine event.
