Russ’s Market Helps Raise Thousands for the Arts

The 2013 Lincoln Wine and Food Experience, presented by Nebraska-based Russ’s Market, raised more than $37,000 for the Lincoln Community Playhouse.

The event, which has raised nearly $170,000 in the past five years, hosted more than 700 people Feb. 22 at Lincoln’s Embassy Suites, to sample wine and food from more than 80 vendors. The total funds raised include proceeds from a silent auction.

“We’re grateful to our friends who support the Lincoln Wine and Food Experience,” said Pat Raybould, president of B&R Stores Inc. “The Lincoln Community Playhouse is a great resource for our city, and Russ’s Market is glad to help the playhouse provide outstanding productions and educational programs.”

Lincoln, Neb.-based B&R Stores Inc. includes four store concepts (Russ’s Market, Super Saver, Save Best Foods and Grand Central Apple Market) located in seven cities across Nebraska and Iowa.
