Stew Leonard’s Offers Seasonal Kids’ Cooking Classes

www.stewleonards.com/Stew Leonard’s Newington, Conn., store will hold cooking classes for children in May and June to enable families to enjoy the occasions of the season with appropriate dishes. Kids will receive hands-on instruction in preparing various products while learning about measurements, cooperation and food safety.

The price is per child per class, payable at the time of registration at the customer service desk. Costs range from $15 to $25, depending on the class. Sessions will take place from May 4 to June 22 in Stew Leonard’s Executive Kitchen on the second floor of the Newington store, and children don’t to be accompanied by an adult.

The classes include such holiday themes as Cinco de Mayo, cookies for Mother’s Day, and monkey bread for a special Father’s Day breakfast, in addition to such fun topics as an “Iron Chef”-inspired secret ingredient, Jell-O cupcakes, and foods eaten at a Hawaiian luau.
