Strack & Van Til Wants Shoppers for its Next Ad Campaign

Midwestern regional grocery chain Strack & Van Til has launched a video contest to find individuals and families to appear in its next marketing campaign.

Each grand-prize winner in the Highland, Ind.-based grocer's “Shopping For Stars” contest will appear in future Strack & Van Til marketing efforts, and will also receive a $250 store gift card.

“We are looking for real-life Strack & Van Til shoppers to star in our next advertising campaign,” said Jeff Strack, the company’s VP of operations. “Individuals, families, couples—they are all eligible to win.”

To enter, each contestant must create a 60-second or shorter video showcasing what he or she finds most appealing about Strack & Van Til stores and upload it to YouTube. Then, they must submit the videos on Strack & Van Til’s Facebook page using the “Shopping For Stars” tab. A minimum of four videos will be selected, and their “actors” will be used in upcoming marketing efforts for the grocery store chain. The campaign may include elements such as in-store displays, billboards, television and radio commercials, print ads, and more.

All entries must be received by Nov. 30. Complete details and rules can be found online

“We have long been known as a friendly, neighborhood grocer," Strack said, "and we’re eager to see the creative ways our valued customers express their enthusiasm for shopping at Strack & Van Til."

A family-managed retailer, Strack & Van Til operates 19 full-service grocery stores in Northwest Indiana and one in Chicago.
