Target Unveils Redesigned Stores in Tampa, Denver

Thirteen Target stores in the Tampa and Denver areas have been redesigned to further deliver one-stop shopping convenience.

The eight Florida stores and five in and around Colorado’s capital city feature an open-market grocery layout stocked with a selection of fresh produce, fresh meat and baked goods. The new layout also includes reinventions in several other areas throughout the store such as beauty, home, shoes and electronics.

The increased fresh-food selection is designed to make fill-in shopping quick and easy. Each store offers a selection of national food brands and Target private label brands, including Archer Farms premium foods, Simply Balanced better-for-you products and Sutton & Dodge premium quality USDA Choice beef. The redesigns offer 90 percent of the categories found in a grocery store, interactive displays and wider aisles.

“Target developed these concepts in response to guest feedback,” said Tim Mantel, Target vice president of merchandising. “This is one of the many ways we're evolving our store design to deliver one-stop shopping and convenience for our guests.”

Remodeled locations in the Tampa area include stores on Dale Mabry Highway, Gandy Boulevard and Park Street, as well as in St. Petersburg, Largo, Seven Springs, Pinellas Park and Brandon. Denver-area locations are in Arvada, Aurora, Boulder, Englewood and Greeley.

Minneapolis-based Target Corp. operates 1,743 stores in 49 states nationwide. In 2010, the company expects to add about 350 new and remodeled locations nationwide.
