Winn-Dixie Sponsoring Jacksonville Armada FC Shirts

The uniforms for Armada FC, Jacksonville, Fla.'s new professional North American Soccer League team, will feature Winn-Dixie as the primary jersey sponsor. The logo of the  Jacksonville-based grocer will appear on the jersey's front for an initial period of three years.

"It will be a thrill to see our players sport Winn-Dixie across the chest of their shirts when we kick off next spring," said Armada FC owner Mark Frisch.

"We appreciate Winn-Dixie's incredible vision and support," added Steve Livingstone, the team's president. "These marquee sponsorships set the tone for the relationships Armada FC is pursuing with the business community -- and will bring strong returns for our partners as we play matches and reach audiences, not only in Jacksonville, but also in Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, New York, Raleigh, San Antonio, Minneapolis and Indianapolis, and Ottawa and Edmonton in Canada."

"This new partnership provides us with a great opportunity to make meaningful connections with our customers, many of [whom] are passionate soccer fans," noted Randy Rambo, regional VP at Winn-Dixie, a Bi-Lo Holdings LLC subsidiary that employs more than 48,000 associates at about 546 grocery stores and 415 in-store pharmacies in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi.

Nike-produced Armada FC gear will be available for purchase through WeGotSoccer.com and ArmadaFC.com.
